the end of the world wasn't supposed to come this soon. in current day and year, maybe in some alternate timeline, the world we once knew and love has gone to hell. after nuclear proliferation became a failure and more and more hostile countries and non-state terrorist groups got their hands on wmd, nuclear war seemed imminent. unknowingly to the world, america had been developing a bioweapon, a deterrent to keep these volatile countries in check. after plenty of threats, america did the unthinkable...it released the z-virus. at first enemy countries were hit, but then the virus became uncontainable. nations with high mortality rates where disease and illness was the norm fell first, and then even some of the most stablest of countries collapsed. people are saying it's "judgement day" and time to wave the white flag. america had planned to use the z-virus to create a new world order, but their bioweapon became uncontrollable and the virus inevitably spread to the states as well. the government now in shambles, they are doing what they can to piece together and restore order. it is widely believed that the virus comes in waves, and will eventually "sweat itself" out. the only orders given were to seek out a safe shelter and hope you're alive by the time the virus dies down. our game takes place in the state of maryland and d.c. following groups of survivors in different towns and cities. after no order for almost two weeks, the deads are out to reveal america's government to be the true villains and also save innocent survivors by ushering them to cuttyhunk island. with spread of the virus getting worse in maryland each and every day will the survivors be able to make the perilous journey? this game is mildly inspired by the likes of the graphic book/tv show "the walking dead" and the video game series "resident evil". we also would like to thank zombie games that came before us for certain ideas, that namely being ~biters.

PLEASE, HOLD HERE:
when placing a hold, please state what face(s) and for what group(s). the more specific, the easier it is on us. please, keep in mind the slots for each groups. you may want to read the rules here to avoid goof-ups since its sorta complicated. all holds last until first adds which is tentatively scheduled for sunday at 5 pm est. when making changes to new holds, please make an entirely new comment or it will be overlooked. pbs should realistically be able to pass for the age your character. we'll allow a 2 year stretch between the pb/character's age. musicians/socialites/originals will not be accepted. anonymous holds will be deleted, and it's vital to specify if you're holding for a friend. those holds only last 24 hours, and if they do not re-claim their hold in the journal they'll be using, we will erase it. note we made a fake journal at ~zombomb to show you what we're looking for in set-up if you take on multiple chars. we know we duplicated the same scribbld page for the second character, but we were too lazy! also, there is one moderator. we thought you should know if there is some time in between where holds aren't updated, don't be skeptical. i'll eventually get to it!
